Bucks county is
an all volunteer, non-profit organization with one
purpose in mind - to maintain the quality of life for those infected
and
affected by HIV and AIDS.

I
come off a two and a half year hiatus from
the board and take over the helm, I ‘m
heartened to see
that FACT is as good as it
has ever been. Getting funds to those in
need, to people in our community with no
other place to turn, has always been the
main focus of our organization. We are a truly
unique in what we do and we do it really well!

Many
of you know us well, and know what we do. For those of
you who are being introduced to us today, FACT serves Bucks
County in Pennsylvania ,Hunterdon and Mercer Counties in
New Jersey. We are an all volunteer, grass-roots group with
a singleminded mission: we raise money.

for
funds were going down
on a monthly basis, and they did so. But this year, for many different factors
our monthly requests are on the rise, a frightening 25% at this time. The social
service agencies we channel our funds through are telling us it is going to keep
trending that way.
|
We grant funds
for quality of life emergency
needs of those affected by HIV/AIDS. We pay rent, electric
bills, car repair, transportation, doctor bills, pharmaceuticals,
and in unfortunate circumstances, funeral expenses. We provide
the funding for agencies such as Planned Parenthood to be able
to operate their free testing clinics, for Trinity Church’s
Peace Meals program, and Somerset Medical Center’s massage
program. And those are just a few of our partner programs.
FACT does not have large corporate sponsorship
even though we exist right near the largest pharmaceutical
companies in the world. We depend mostly on individual donations,
from you, our
guests for this afternoon. When I left the board
two and a half years ago, it seemed that requests

This stunning
difference in our funding landscape sent an alarm out to
all of us who care for people in need in our communities.
We need your help! We need you to tell your
family and friends about us. We need you to
please continue to assist us as much as you can.
We need you so that we can continue to do what
we do best: Raise the money, and give it out to
the people in our communities who need it.
